The studio assistant will be a regular face of Soulside’s studio, helping create an atmosphere of peace, positivity, and accessibility. The studio assistant will engage with students, help keep the studio clean, and operate our business management software to check people in, make sales, and manage customer accounts. 

Job Requirements/Essential Functions:

  • Learn to use Soulside’s business management software with the willingness to troubleshoot independently. (Current software is Wellness Living) 

  • Work directly with Executive Director and collaborate with Soulside’s team to continue creating a smooth studio experience for all students. 

  • Work studio front desk during several classes a week to check students in, accept payments, sell/manage class passes, sell and accept gift cards, and make sales of products.

  • Greet students as they come in; introduce new students to the space and set them up with an account.

  • Help keep studio clean before and after classes including stocking and cleaning bathrooms and sweeping floors.

  • Support studio functions in other ways as needed, including watering plants, managing studio rentals, or cleaning.

  • Responsibilities, hours, and pay have potential to increase as candidate shows good work ethic and independence. 

Job Qualifications:

  • Skilled at learning new technologies and troubleshooting independently. 

  • Ability to multitask (i.e. must be able to greet each student who walks in even while working with one student to set up a new account.)

  • Independent worker; shows confidence by initiating solution-finding without needing constant approval or guidance. 

  • Interest in yoga, mindfulness, and accessible holistic wellness. 


Schedule and Pay:
Studio Assistant will begin working 6 hours per week. Hours will take place from 5-7pm on weeknights or 9-11am on weekends. Pay will be either $12 per hour or one free yoga class per hour worked, or a combination of pay and trade. Assistant will be welcome to take the classes offered at 5:30-6:30pm and/or 7-8pm on the nights they work as long as all responsibilities are complete.

The studio assistant position has the potential to expand to 15 hours a week and $15/hour depending on the skills learned, independence, and Soulside’s growth.
